LIZELLA, Ga. (August 31, 2012) --- Due to Hurricane Isaac, the second regional events for the IFA Redfish and IFA Kayak Tours set for September 7-9 at Slidell, La. have been rescheduled to take place in conjunction with the Port Aransas, Texas IFA regional event, September 14-16.

“Unfortunately the IFA Slidell events have been canceled and rescheduled in conjunction with the IFA Port Aransas events,” said IFA President Jim Armstrong. “Due to widespread power outages and flooding from Hurricane Isaac we feel we have no other choice but to cancel the events. Our hearts go out to the anglers, their families and everyone on the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Isaac.”

The remaining regional events will merge, beginning September 13 with the IFA Redfish Tour Captain's Meeting at City Marina Dennis Dryer Municipal Harbor in Port Aransas, Texas. Anglers who compete in two regular-season events and at least one regional event will be qualified automatically to compete in the no-entry-fee championship.
