3rd Hobie Fishing European Championship powered by Lowrance & GoFee

Stellendam, 22-1-2016, Sweden is going to be the host nation for the 3rd Hobie Fishing European Championships powered by Lowrance & GoFree. The iconic Lake Mjörn in the west coast region of Sweden will be alive with kayak anglers from all over Europe trying their luck and skill at catching their biggest Pike, Perch and Zander in a Catch, Photograph and Release format. The event is scheduled from September 9 till September 11.

The angler with the most aggregate length over a duration of two competition days will win the tournament and will be crowned the 3rd European Champion. Like in all previous events all contestants will fish from their own Hobie Mirage Kayaks. The Entry Fee for the three day event is 100 EUR.

Together with the European Championship title, the winner also directly qualifies for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 2016 including a Hobie Flight Voucher to the next Hobie Fishing Worlds. Besides that there are numerous other prizes to collect. A prize will be rewarded for the biggest fish caught, the best rigged Hobie Kayak and for the longest distance a competitor has travelled to the event site.

Sweden’s extraordinary potential as one of Europe’s greatest angling countries was the key argument behind our decision. Together with our event sponsors Lowrance & GoFree and our organizing partner and Hobie Kayak dealer Seafari we have found a perfect tournament venue for the 2016 Hobie Fishing event.“
