Hobie Warranty

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Three YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR 2019 model year HOBIE KAYAKS AND FISHING BOATS. TWO year warranty for hobie inflatable kayaks. for prior year models, your hobie kayak comes with a two year warranty.

Hobie Cat Company, Hobie Cat Australasia and Hobie Kayaks Europe warrants that this boat will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years after your date of purchase on all 2018 and earlier models, three (3) years on 2019 and beyond (kayak models only) and two (2) years on inflatable kayaks.

This warranty provides coverage on hull and replacement parts or repairs. You will not be entitled to this warranty if the defects appear any time after two (2) years from your date of purchase on 2018 and earlier models, three (3) years on 2019 model year and beyond (kayak models only) and two (2) years on inflatable kayaks.

This warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and discoloration.
Damage caused by abuse or failure to perform normal maintenance.
Damage caused by hitting submerged objects or beaching without retracting MirageDrive® and rudder.
Damage caused by mooring or storing boat in water.
Damage caused by improperly supporting kayak when transporting or storing.
Weather related damage, such as freezing, prolonged sun exposure, or high winds.
Damage caused by alterations or modifications.
Transportation of boat or parts to Hobie Cat Company or its dealers.
Any boat used for rental or in commercial service of any kind.
Any other consequential damage, incidental damages or incidental expense, including damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

To obtain warranty service:

Within 30 days of discovering a defect, take your boat, along with proof of purchase (sales receipt or registration card) to the authorized Hobie dealer from whom you purchased your boat, unless you have moved or are traveling. In that case, take it to the nearest authorized Hobie dealer.

Implied Warranties

Any implied warranties, including implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, shall be no longer than the duration of this express warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Hobie Cat makes no express warranties in addition to this Limited Warranty. Hobie dealers have no authority to make any warranties on behalf of Hobie Cat Company in addition to or inconsistent with those stated herein.

To the extent any provision of this warranty is prohibited by Federal, State or Municipal law and cannot be preempted, it shall not be applicable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Three YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR all 2019 model year HOBIE SAILBOATS. for prior year models, hobie sailboats come with a two year warranty.

Hobie Cat Company, Hobie Cat Australasia and Hobie Kayaks Europe warrants that this boat will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years after your date of purchase on all 2018 model year and earlier models and three (3) years on 2019 model year boats and beyond.

All replacement parts or repairs are covered for a period of three years.

This warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and discoloration.
Damage caused by abuse or failure to perform normal maintenance.
Damage caused by alterations or modifications.
Transportation of boat or parts to Hobie Cat Company or its dealers.
Any boat used as a rental or placed in commercial service of any kind.
Any other consequential damage, incidental damage or incidental expense, including damage to property.
Damage caused by modifying the mainsheet block arrangement beyond what was supplied as standard. Contact Hobie Cat Company for more information.
Damage or blistering of gel coat caused by mooring or storing boat in water.
Damage caused by failure to follow procedures in sailing and assembly manuals.
Damage caused by improperly supporting sailboat when transporting or storing.
Weather related damage, such as freezing, prolonged sun exposure, or high winds.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

To obtain warranty service:

Within 30 days of discovering the defect, take your boat, along with proof of purchase (sales receipt or registration card) to the authorized Hobie dealer from whom you purchased your boat, unless you have moved or are traveling. Implied Warranties

Hobie Cat Company makes no express warranties in addition to this Limited Warranty. Hobie Cat dealers have no authority to make any warranties on behalf of Hobie Cat Company in addition to or inconsistent with those stated herein.

Three YEAR LIMITED COVERAGE ON MIRAGE ECLIPSE® BOARD, HANDLE BAR AND COMPONENTS purchased within the 2019 model year and beyond. two year limited warranty on mirage eclipses purchased in 2018 and prior.

Hobie Cat Company, Hobie Cat Australasia, Hobie Cat Europe and Hobie Kayak Europe warrant that the Hobie Mirage Eclipse Stand Up is free from defects in materials and workmanship to retail customers in their approved regions.

This warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and discoloration.
Damage caused by abuse or failure to perform normal maintenance.
Damage caused by hitting submerged objects or beaching without retracting MirageDrive and rudder.
Damage caused by mooring or storing Mirage Eclipse in water.
Damage caused by alterations or modifications.
Damage caused by improperly supporting or securing Mirage Eclipse when transporting, towing or storing.
Weather related damage such as freezing, prolonged sun exposure or high winds.
Transportation of Mirage Eclipse or parts to Hobie Cat Company or its dealers.
Any board used as a rental or placed in commercial service.
Any Mirage Eclipse used for rental or in commercial service of any kind.

Any other consequential damage, incidental damages or incidental expense, including damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

To obtain warranty service:

Within 30 days of discovering a defect, take your Eclipse, along with the proof of purchase (sales receipt) to the authorized Hobie Dealer from whom you purchased your Eclipse, unless you have moved or are traveling. In that case, take it to the nearest Authorized Hobie Eclipse Dealer for warranty support.

Implied Warranties

Any implied warranties, including implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, shall be no longer than the duration of this expressed warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and discoloration.
Damage caused by abuse or failure to perform normal maintenance.
Damage caused by hitting submerged objects or beaching.
Damage caused by mooring or storing board in water.
Damage caused by alterations or modifications.
Improper support, storage or transporting.
Weather related damage.
Transportation of board or parts to Hobie Stand Up Paddleboards or its dealers.
Any board used as a rental or placed in commercial service.
Any other consequential damage, incidental damages or incidental expenses, including damage to property.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

To obtain warranty service:

Within 30 days of discovering a defect, take your board, along with the proof of purchase (sales receipt) to the Authorized Hobie Cat SUP Dealer from whom you purchased your board, unless you have moved or are traveling. In that case, take it to the nearest Authorized Hobie Cat SUP Dealer for warranty support.

Implied Warranties

To the extent any provision of this warranty is prohibited by Federal, State or Municipal law and cannot be preempted, it shall not be applicable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.
