The challenge was put forth by Tom Morey, USC engineering graduate and partner of More-Pope Surfboards. A contest that would test the limits of ability and design for one purpose; the noseride. In earlier years, the act of noseriding was reserved for the most adept of surfers. No manufacturer prior had dreamt of building a board for the sole ambition of riding the tip.
